Koç University

Koç University is a non-profit private university founded in 1993 in Istanbul, Turkey. It is one of the leading research universities consistently ranked among the country’s top universities in global rankings. Koç University is home to a diverse community of highly qualified students, scholars, and researchers from across the world. The University offers 30 PhD, 43 masters’ and 22 undergraduate programs for about 9000 students representing over 70 nationalities.

Migration Research Center at Koç University (MiReKoc) acts as the coordinator of the BROAD-ER. Since its foundation in 2004, MiReKoc has immensely contributed to the development of migration studies in Turkey and beyond, through prestigious research projects, publications, seminars, conferences, summer schools and several other activities. As a well-known global hub for migration research, MiReKoc owns a proven track record of national (TUBITAK) and international (H2020, Erasmus+ etc.) funds, and membership in international networks (Metropolis International, IMISCOE, etc.).
