Biography

Pelin Kılınçarslan is a postdoctoral researcher at the Migration Research Center at Koç University (MiReKoc). She received her PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Koç University, where she also had an MA in International Relations. After completing her BA in Political Science at Bilkent University, she attended the MS program of Gender and Women’s Studies at METU. She was a visiting researcher in Politics at the University of Manchester. Her PhD dissertation focuses on the gendered implications of household debt, with fieldwork in Athens and Istanbul. She worked as postdoctoral researcher at Koç University, and senior researcher at the MA-Computational Social Science Lab (MA-CSSL). She has teaching experience in gender and politics, development, political economy, sociology, and economics of migration. Her primary research interests are in gender studies and political economy.
