The training session, organized as part of the Bridging the Migration and Urban Studies Nexus (BROAD-ER) Project (https://broad-er.eu/), warmly welcomes Eda Özdek, Head of EU Funding Services at White Research. This session was part of the BROAD-ER International Summer School titled “Urban Migration Governance: Policy, Practice and Research,” held from June 3-14, 2024. The session on June 6, 2024, specifically aimed at equipping researchers and project managers with essential knowledge and practical skills to navigate the Horizon Europe framework successfully.

Welcome to the BROAD-ER Project’s comprehensive training session on accessing and managing EU research funding, presented by Eda Özdek, Head of EU Funding Services at White Research. This session was part of the BROAD-ER International Summer School titled “Urban Migration Governance: Policy, Practice and Research,” held from June 3-14, 2024. About the Speaker: Eda Özdek has over 18 years of experience in international funding, lobbying, and project management. She has worked extensively with various EU funding programs, including TUBITAK, IPA, FP7, H2020, and Horizon Europe. Her expertise spans multiple fields such as cultural heritage, migration, climate change, smart cities, ERC, and EIC.

About BROAD-ER: BROAD-ER is an EU-funded Twinning Project. BROAD-ER aims to build a Research Excellence Network that fosters interdisciplinary research and training at the nexus of migration and urban studies. BROAD-ER is a collaboration between Pompeu Fabra University in Spain, the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and Koç University in Turkey. Its main goal is to close the research gap within the European Research Area (ERA) by establishing innovative and interdisciplinary approaches, while also increasing research and innovation capacities in Turkey in emergent fields of migration and urban studies.
