Koç University will organize two summer schools in 2023 and 2024, in collaboration with University of Amsterdam and Pompeu Fabra University.
Summer School 2023 will be on the manifestations of migration in the urban spaces of Southern and Northern cities of Europe.
Summer School 2024 will tackle the issue of urban governance and city level management of migration and diversity (super-diversity, integration, governance of migration, governance of integration, migration governance at city level, gender dimension and urban inequality).
The summer schools target students and practitioners in the fields of public policy, political science, urban policy, and local governance, among others.
Scholarships will be provided for select candidates.
MiReKoc will design the BROAD-ER summer schools. Since 2011, MiReKoc has an established annual summer school program on various thematic issues related to migration. These summer schools include two-weeks of intensive courses, field visits, and networking opportunities. Participants are expected to produce a research output at the end of the summer school.
