Why you should attend an international summer school

First of all, summer schools are short! They offer new opportunities that help you improve your academic performance and most importantly, give you access to the area of knowledge for your research interest. By going to a summer school, you’ll be able to develop valuable academic skills, get to know new people and have networking opportunities with distinguished names in your study area. Gaining experience in subjects you wouldn’t normally have access to is an excellent preparation to expand your horizons so much further. Besides, summer schools combine lectures with exciting trips and extracurricular activities.
MiReKoc International Summer School is one of these opportunities you can have a personal experience in developing new academic skills, and make new friends. The Summer School gives you a chance to join recreational activities, such as exploring the beautiful city of Istanbul. The summer school organizes an annual international summer school program on selected topics. The 2023 MiReKoc International Summer School will be organized under the premises of the BROAD-ER project, entitled “Cities and International Migration: Themes, Concepts, Approaches” which will be organized in cooperation with the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and Pompeu Fabra University, Spain, between the dates of 17th and 28th July 2023 in Istanbul. The International Summer School is composed of two weeks of lectures and discussions led by distinguished faculty members, policymakers and experts; participants additionally have multiple opportunities to share their studies and thoughts with these scholars in an interactive environment. The Summer School is conducted in English. The Summer School program is designed for graduate and post-graduates and junior experts in the field.
