BROAD-ER Article Writing Workshop with Prof. Jan Rath from the University of Amsterdam
We are excited to invite all interested participants to join us for the Article Writing Workshop on June 8, 2023, from 2-5 pm. This workshop is open to early career researchers and organized under the BROAD-ER Project.
BROAD-ER (Bridging the Migration and Urban Studies Nexus) is an EC-funded Twinning Project that aims to foster interdisciplinary research and training at the intersection of migration and urban studies. It is a collaborative effort between Koç University in Turkey, Pompeu Fabra University in Spain, and the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The workshop will be conducted by Prof. Jan Rath from the University of Amsterdam, who is one of our three BROAD-ER partners, along with Koç University and Pompeu Fabra University. Prof. Jan Rath, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, brings extensive experience as a managing editor of the International Migration journal and as a Chair of Metropolis International, as well as being the Principle Investigator of the BROAD-ER project.

The Article Writing Workshop aims to:
– Guide early career researchers in identifying innovative topics, structuring articles, and addressing key challenges related to publishing.
– Develop individual research skills and enhance the dissemination activities of early career researchers.
The workshop is open to all interested early career researchers, including graduate students (masters, PhD) and postdoctoral researchers.

The workshop will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online attendance.
