BROAD-ER Applying for Jobs in Academia Workshop – Fall 2024
We are excited to announce our Applying for Jobs in Academia Workshop on 29 November, 15:00–17:00 (Turkey time). This event is designed to share experiences and insights across different stages of academic careers. Open to PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers, the workshop offers valuable guidance for anyone exploring career opportunities in academia.
Participants will learn from seasoned professors and researchers with direct experience in hiring and navigating the academic job market. Don’t miss this chance to gain practical advice and insider perspectives!
Format: Each speaker will share their experiences in a 30-minute talk. During and after the talks, participants will have the opportunity to learn about and ask questions on topics including, but not limited to:
- Insights into the academic job market
- Tips for CVs, cover letters, and applications
- Strategies for academic interviews
- Guidance on navigating hiring processes
- Advice on networking and career development
- Real-world experiences from hiring professionals
