We are excited to invite all interested participants to join us for the fourth round of our BROAD-ER Women in Science Webinars! Mark your calendars for Jan 21, 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 (Turkey time), to join an insightful webinar featuring Eva Fortes from Pompeu Fabra University.
Eva Fortes is a PhD candidate in Political and Social Sciences at Pompeu Fabra University, a researcher at GRITIM-UPF, and an EU projects consultant at Project Arc, where she consults local governments, civil society organizations, and academics on socially impactful projects.
In her talk, “Integration or Quality of Life? A Capabilities Approach to Migration Policy,” she will provide valuable insights from her dissertation, in which she critiques the integration paradigm in European migration research and policy and proposes a capabilities-based approach to assess quality of life and foster wellbeing for all members of society, drawing on empirical findings from interviews and participatory research with second-generation immigrants in Barcelona.
